Emailing an invoice works, but most customers open WhatsApp before they open their inbox. If you want to send a PDF via WhatsApp straight from an active job — an invoice, a quotation, or any other print-ready document — BytePhase CRM has a built-in WhatsApp button that does it in a few clicks. This guide covers the one-time browser extension setup and the steps to send your first PDF.

How to Send a PDF via WhatsApp: Step-by-Step

Step 1: Open the Document You Want to Send

  1. Open the print/preview page for any invoice, quotation, or other document, then click the WhatsApp button.

Step 2: Install the WA Web Bridge Extension (one-time setup)

  • The first time you click the WhatsApp button, a popup explains that sending a PDF needs a small browser extension. Click the link to install it directly: Add WA Web Bridge extension

  • The link opens the Chrome Web Store page for the extension. Click “Add to Chrome” and it’s added to your browser.

Step 3: Send the PDF

  • Open WhatsApp Web in another browser tab and leave it open.
  • Refresh the BytePhase portal, open the document you want to send, and click the WhatsApp button again.
  • A popup appears with a pre-filled message template — edit it if needed, then click “Send Message.” The message and the PDF are sent via WhatsApp instantly.

Great job!

That’s it — you’ve successfully sent a PDF via WhatsApp using BytePhase CRM.

Because the WhatsApp button lives on every print page, this works the same way for job sheets, quotations, and invoices — one more reason repair shops use BytePhase as their repair shop billing software instead of juggling email and a separate messaging app for every document.
