Question 1

What happens to my Zaps if I rotate the BytePhase API key?

Accepted Answer

Rotating the key on the integration's Activity screen stops the old key immediately; there is no overlap period. Copy the new key, which is shown once, and reconnect your BytePhase connection in Zapier straight away. Until you do, every Zap on that connection will show an error.

Question 2

Can I connect several Tally.so forms to one BytePhase account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BytePhase tells forms apart by Tally.so's form ID, so one Tally.so integration can carry several forms, each mapped on its own. A repair booking form can create self check-ins while a quote request form creates leads. Each form also has its own rule for when the customer already exists. Use Add another form to connect the next one.

Question 3

Where can I see what Jotform has sent to BytePhase?

Accepted Answer

Open the Jotform integration's Activity screen. Every submission is listed with its form, time received, what it created and its status: Successful, Duplicate, Received or Failed. Open any entry to see the raw payload Jotform sent next to the mapped payload BytePhase used. Submission logs are kept for 90 days, then deleted automatically because they hold customer details.

Question 4

What if my Typeform webhook URL is shared by mistake?

Accepted Answer

Treat the webhook URL as a password, because it contains your BytePhase API key. If it leaks, click Rotate key on the integration's Activity screen. The old URL stops working at once and BytePhase shows a new webhook URL to paste into Typeform. With the signing secret switched on, a delivery without a valid Typeform signature is rejected anyway.

Question 5

What WordPress setup does the BytePhase Connector need, and will it slow my site down?

Accepted Answer

The plugin needs WordPress 6.0 or later and PHP 8.1 or later. On normal pages it loads nothing; on a page with a built-in form it loads one small stylesheet, and submissions are forwarded server-side. It works with caching plugins, and submissions themselves are never cached. Background retries run on WP-Cron, so make sure WP-Cron runs on your host.

Question 6

Can two businesses in one BytePhase account both use BulkGate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, they share it. The SMS provider is set once for your whole BytePhase account, so every business sends through the same BulkGate account when BulkGate is primary. Each business can still have its own SMS signature, and a text carries the signature of the business that issued it, so customers can tell which business is writing to them.

Question 7

Does BytePhase show whether Twilio delivered a text?

Accepted Answer

BytePhase records each text in your SMS history once Twilio accepts it, together with the message SID Twilio returns, the number it went to and your From number. It does not fetch later delivery receipts from Twilio, so to confirm final delivery, look up that message SID in your Twilio account.

Question 8

What happens to a Gupshup SMS when my SMS balance runs out?

Accepted Answer

It is skipped, not sent. BytePhase checks your SMS balance before each message and, when it is at zero, records that SMS as skipped for lack of credits. Other channels for the same event, such as email or WhatsApp, are handled separately and still go out if they are switched on. Buy an SMS pack to start sending SMS again.

Question 9

Which UPI ID prints as the QR code on my BytePhase invoices?

Accepted Answer

The one marked as the default handle for that business. It prints as a QR code on invoices and receipts. The first UPI ID you add becomes the default automatically, and marking another one as default moves the QR over to it. If you delete the default, the oldest remaining UPI ID takes over, so documents are never left without one. Adding or removing UPI IDs needs the business settings permission.

Question 10

If I run more than one business in BytePhase, do they share one Mailchimp account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Mailchimp is connected once for your whole BytePhase workspace, and customers are shared across businesses, so every business pushes contacts to the same Mailchimp account. You still choose the audience for each push by its Audience ID, so you can keep a separate audience per business, or use one audience and tell the businesses apart with tags.
