WordPress integration for repair shops

Install the free BytePhase Connector plugin, then open Settings, Integrations, Website Forms in BytePhase and choose WordPress — it creates your API key and shows it once. Paste your BytePhase web address, Store ID and that key into BytePhase, Connection in WP admin and click Test Connection. The whole thing takes about five minutes.

You can connect it on every BytePhase plan, and the integration itself costs nothing extra. Each submission becomes a lead or a self check-in, and both of those are part of the Standard and Enterprise plans (and the 15-day free trial), so you need one of those to work with what comes in. No. Contact Form 7 and Elementor Pro forms are captured exactly as they are, whatever their fields are called. You match those fields to BytePhase fields once, inside BytePhase, and the form itself never changes.

No. Submissions are forwarded to BytePhase and only an operational delivery log — time, status, request ID — is kept in WordPress, capped and pruned automatically. The plugin also adds suggested wording for your site’s privacy policy.

Temporary failures are queued and retried automatically in the background with increasing delays. Retries reuse the same idempotency key, so a submission can never arrive twice. Anything that exhausts its retries appears on the Health screen with a one-click Retry button.

Yes. The BytePhase Connector has two built-in shortcodes: [bytephase_lead_form] creates a lead and [bytephase_self_checkin] creates a self check-in with a serial number field. For Contact Form 7 and Elementor Pro forms, open BytePhase → Forms in WordPress and choose Lead or Self check-in for each form. A contact page and a repair booking page can run side by side on the same site.

Yes. Create the fields in BytePhase under Settings → Custom fields, then switch them on under BytePhase → Forms → Custom fields in WordPress. The plugin reads each field’s label, type, dropdown options and whether it is required from BytePhase, so you edit a field in one place and the website follows. You choose which of them appear on the public form.

The built-in lead and self check-in forms use a hidden honeypot field and a minimum fill time of three seconds. Bots that fill the hidden field or post instantly are quietly dropped and get the same success response as a real visitor, so they learn nothing. Both checks keep working on cached pages, which a nonce-based check would not.

The plugin needs WordPress 6.0 or later and PHP 8.1 or later. On normal pages it loads nothing; on a page with a built-in form it loads one small stylesheet, and submissions are forwarded server-side. It works with caching plugins, and submissions themselves are never cached. Background retries run on WP-Cron, so make sure WP-Cron runs on your host.

Rotate it. On the integration’s Activity screen in BytePhase, click Rotate key and copy the new key, which is shown once. The old key stops working immediately. Paste the new one into BytePhase → Connection in WordPress. Submissions made in the meantime are queued by the plugin and delivered once the new key is saved. In WordPress the key is masked after saving and never logged.
