Jotform Integration for Repair Shops
Jotform is where many repair shops already collect work — a repair request form on the website, a pickup booking form, a corporate intake form with twenty fields.
BytePhase × JotformWorking together, in real timeJotform and BytePhase, explained
Setup is one paste. BytePhase gives you a unique webhook URL; you add it to your Jotform's webhook settings and submissions start flowing immediately.
The old way vs BytePhase
- Jotform emails read, then re-typed into the system
- Enquiries living in an inbox until someone remembers them
- The same customer creating three duplicate records
- Guessing which internal field ID maps to what
- No record of what a form actually sent
- Every submission lands in BytePhase by itself, seconds after it is sent
- Each submission becomes a lead or self check-in assigned to Reception automatically
- A duplicate policy matches by email or mobile and skips or creates — your call
- Question prefixes are stripped and fields detected from a real test submission
- 90 days of logs with the raw payload and the mapped result, side by side
What you can do with the Jotform integration
Your field names, not Jotform's internals
- Question prefixes stripped — you see your own field names
- Multi-part answers joined into one readable value
- Empty answers dropped, never written as blanks
Guided mapping from a real submission
- Fields detected from a live test submission with sample values
- Common fields auto-matched, the rest point-and-click
- A contact field is required before you can go live
A lead to chase or a check-in that becomes a job
- Lead: an enquiry with device details, ready to follow up
- Self check-in: a device intake with serial, accessories and pickup
- One click converts a check-in into a full job
Repeat submissions, handled your way
- Skip or create on duplicates — you choose per form
- Matched by email or mobile number
- Re-deliveries recognised by submission ID — no doubles
A key only you hold
- Key shown once, stored hashed, masked thereafter
- Every request authenticated, rate-limited and tenant-scoped
- Rotate any time — the old URL stops working instantly
Nothing lost, everything logged
- Unmapped answers preserved as custom fields
- 90 days of raw and mapped payloads
- One-click retry, plus alerts when deliveries keep failing
How the Jotform integration works
Choose what to create
BytePhase asks this first: should a submission become a Lead or a Self check-in? Pick one per form — and if you need both, add a second form and it gets its own URL.
Paste your webhook URL into Jotform
Copy the unique webhook URL from BytePhase into your Jotform settings, and generate the optional signing secret for verified deliveries.
Map your fields and activate
Submit your form once — BytePhase detects every field automatically, matches the obvious ones, and you point the rest at BytePhase fields. Set your duplicate policy and press Activate. Nothing goes live before that.
One Jotform submission, handled end to end
Jotform in a repair shop
The website repair form that books devices in
An electronics shop runs a Jotform repair request form — device, brand, problem, serial.
Pickup bookings that schedule themselves
An AC service centre's Jotform asks for address and a pickup preference.
Corporate intake without the re-typing
A shop serving business clients uses a long Jotform for bulk device intake.
Why repair shops connect Jotform
Submissions that enter themselves
Every Jotform submission becomes a lead or self check-in in seconds, no re-typing.
Your field names, respected
Jotform's q3_ prefixes are stripped, so you map the names you gave your questions.
Check-ins that become jobs
A self check-in converts to a full job in one click, pickup and details carried across.
Duplicates by policy, not accident
Repeat submissions are matched by email or mobile and skipped or created — your call.
A key only you hold
Shown once, stored hashed, rate-limited, tenant-scoped — and rotatable in one click.
A full audit trail
90 days of raw and mapped payloads, one-click retry, and alerts if deliveries fail.

Jotform integration FAQ
Copy your unique webhook URL from BytePhase and add it in your Jotform’s webhook settings. Submit one test, map the detected fields, choose leads or self check-ins, and press Activate. No code, no middleware.
BytePhase strips Jotform’s internal question prefixes before showing you the detected fields, so you map fullName or deviceBrand — the names you actually gave your questions.
Your choice per form: a lead — an enquiry with contact and device details ready to follow up — or a self check-in, a device intake that Reception converts into a full job in one click.
The webhook URL embeds a key that is shown once and stored only as a SHA-256 hash. Every request is authenticated, rate-limited and scoped to your shop alone, and you can rotate the key at any time — the old URL stops working the moment you do.
Only if you want them to. The duplicate policy matches by email or mobile and either skips the repeat or creates a new record. Jotform re-deliveries of the same submission are recognised by their submission ID and never create doubles.
It is logged as failed with the error and can be retried in one click from the activity screen. If failures continue, BytePhase shows a warning on the integration and emails you before enquiries are lost.
