BulkGate Integration for Repair Shops

Yes — this is a bring-your-own integration. You connect the BulkGate account you own by entering its Application ID and Application Token, and BytePhase sends through it.

BulkGate bills your account directly on its pay-as-you-go pricing, so you pay for the messages you actually send. There are no BytePhase SMS credits or bundles involved.

Just two fields — your BulkGate Application ID and Application Token. Paste both into the BulkGate integration screen and it is connected.

Set BulkGate as your primary provider. All BytePhase SMS — automated and manual — will then route through your BulkGate account automatically.

Yes. Every message is saved to your SMS history with its BulkGate message ID, so you can look back and confirm exactly what was sent and when.

Yes. BulkGate uses the same BytePhase SMS pipeline as every channel — links are shortened automatically and template variables are filled with each customer’s ticket details before sending.

Every plan. BytePhase charges nothing for the integration; your messages are billed by BulkGate to your own BulkGate account.

BytePhase passes BulkGate only the customer’s number and the message text, with no sender ID of its own. The sender your customers see is therefore whatever your BulkGate account is set up to use, so manage your sender name or number in BulkGate. In BytePhase’s SMS history, the sender column shows your BulkGate Application ID.

Yes. Before handing a text to BulkGate, BytePhase puts the number into full international format, using the country code saved with the customer’s mobile number or, if there is none, your shop’s country code. Keep country codes on foreign customers’ numbers, and make sure your BulkGate account can send to the countries you need.

Yes. Open the customer’s record and use Notification preferences to switch SMS off completely, or only for chosen events such as quotations or payments. BytePhase checks these preferences before every automatic SMS, so nothing is passed to BulkGate for that customer, and you are not paying BulkGate for texts they did not want.

Yes, they share it. The SMS provider is set once for your whole BytePhase account, so every business sends through the same BulkGate account when BulkGate is primary. Each business can still have its own SMS signature, and a text carries the signature of the business that issued it, so customers can tell which business is writing to them.

Connecting, editing and sending a test from the BulkGate integration all need the integration edit permission, and removing it needs a separate delete permission. The Admin role holds these by default. On plans with custom permissions, you can also give them to another role, so a trusted manager can look after BulkGate without full admin access.
